Privacy Policy
Starter template — have counsel review before collecting live user information.
1. Overview
LegalNavigatorHub respects the privacy of visitors. This starter policy describes the types of information a future production version of the website may collect and how that information may be used. The current prototype forms do not transmit or store submissions.
2. Information that may be collected
A production version may collect information voluntarily submitted through forms, such as name, email address, telephone number, general location and a description of the legal matter. Website analytics and technical information may also be collected if analytics tools are enabled.
3. Sensitive information
Users should not submit Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, passwords, complete medical records or other highly sensitive documents through an initial inquiry form unless a secure process specifically requests them.
4. How information may be used
Information may be used to operate the website, respond to inquiries, categorize requests and facilitate possible connections with independent legal professionals.
5. Sharing
A production service may share relevant inquiry information with independent attorneys or service providers when reasonably necessary to provide the requested connection or operate the website, subject to the final production privacy policy and applicable law.
6. No attorney-client privilege with the platform
Communications with LegalNavigatorHub are not communications with a law firm merely because they concern a legal issue. Do not assume information submitted to the platform is protected by attorney-client privilege.
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards should be implemented before live intake data is collected. No Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated as the service changes. A production version should display an effective date and provide appropriate notices where required.
9. Contact
Contact information for privacy requests should be added before launch.
